Most beauty pagaents required beauty and brain. Those candidates they choose to be qualified possess both beauty and intelligence. One should be beautiful and smart inorder to achieve success in winning the title as a "Beauty Queen". But somehow, there are candidates joining a beauty contest who have the face but don't have brains. Other contestants are intelligent but possess less beauty. The question is: who mostly wins, the pretty or the witty?
There are 3 possible reasons why people choose intelligence over beauty:
1. Beauty easily fades than intelligence
When you grow old, your physical attractiveness will gradually fades as time goes by. Your skin will wrinkle, your hair turns into white, and your body figure will change different from your teenage years. Beauty whithers while intelligence do not. It is still there and no one can steal your knowledge from you.
2.You will not be underestimated
In a beauty contest, people will mostly admire those candidates who are beautiful, appealing and could catch their attention at the first sight especially when they will do the fashion show to present their bikini, swim wear, jeans attire or evening gown. They look fabulous, right? But when it comes to the question and answer portion, they can't answer directly even just a simple question asked by the judge. Audience will laugh at you and sometimes make mock on you and give negative feedback towards you. People who admire you will be discouraged and might change their impressions on you. And the saying, "What is beauty if the brain is empty" will come out.
3. Smart people are more successful
Intelligent people will be more progressive in their jobs and careers. They can use their intellectual ability in applying a job especially on job interviews. They can respond quickly to the questions asked to them. Besides, promotion is much more easier for them. They can be directly promoted to a higher position on their chosen field of profession.
